We’re Michal and Kristine – the hearts behind Love Your Italy. Our story is woven with mountain trails, Mediterranean sunshine, little family adventures, and a love affair with Italy that began years ago and only grows stronger each season.

We’re not just travel writers – we’re planners, wanderers, and your advocates for an incredible Italian adventure. Our blog and services are built on real experiences, thought-out recommendations, and an understanding that no two trips are the same. We believe travel is unique – and should be joyful, stress-free, and full of memories that last a lifetime.

From Dreamers to Dolomites Experts

After moving to Northern Italy and calling the charming village of Sarnico by Lake Iseo our home for over a year, we became obsessed with discovering every corner of Italy, and especially the Northern Italy. We explored as weekend warriors – balancing work, studies, and a relentless curiosity – with each journey teaching us what matters most: making every trip memorable, manageable, and meaningful.
We know what it’s like to squeeze a life-changing trip or family vacation into just a few precious days. That’s why our itineraries aren’t just templates – they’re adventures built on years of experience travelling and planning our own trips.

Our mission is simple: Help you discover what you’ll love most about Italy. Whether it’s the untamed peaks of the Dolomites, the gentle roll of a Tuscan vineyard, or the sweet hush of an evening by the sea – Italy has something for everyone, and we want to help you find your version of “la dolce vita.”

Fun fact about us: Michal likes really active vacations – he could do things from sunrise to sunset; I like balanced ones – some activity, for sure, but also relaxing; and Emma could spend the whole day in the pool without venturing out once. So, we have first-hand experience in how to balance different likes and needs!

I thought I had a good itinerary set using Ai and as the trip came closer I decided to share it with Kristine.  BEST thing I ever did - well worth the money.  With her extensive knowledge of the area she spotted the overly ambitious hikes and ineffective extended drive times that were not realistic.  She provided us with honest and helpful suggestions that saved us a lot of time and energy.  Her itinerary review is highly recommended and her response time was as promised. She sent me some questions in advance, and during the course of our hour, we identified the best town for me to base without a car (and it wasn’t the “standard” answer) and she further made hotel recommendations based on my criteria and planned some possible hiking days (at my pace) for me. After the consultation, she sent me an email with everything summarized and a Google My Map with locations marked. She also promptly answered later questions that I emailed.
